RAFFY

Years spun by craftsmen with a lot of time and effort to create a vintage-like uneven feel

The cornerstone of Double Works' products is ``Raffi,'' a yarn spun from a blend of fallen cotton. Unlike modern yarn spinning, this thread is made at a manufacturer in Osaka by craftsmen who take the time and effort to complete the entire process.

Raffi is a blend of long-fiber cotton and cotton that has been scraped off during the thread manufacturing process. In other words, it is also a sustainable thread made from recycled cotton.

Fallen cotton contains many short fibers, and when made into thread, it naturally creates an uneven feel.

When knitting fabric for sweatshirts and T-shirts using this yarn, you can create a vintage-like uneven feel and taste from an era when spinning technology was not yet developed.

A firm, comforting texture
Dubble Works knits No. 8 thick yarn on vintage Standwheeler knitting machines, replicating the distinct, crisp hand feel of vintage clothing.
There are two types of yarn utilized in Dubble Works garments: ring yarn, which is spun through a ring-shaped spinning machine, and open-end, airspun yarn, where fiber is directly drawn into a rotor without the use of a spindle.
Open-end, airspun yarn has an airy, slightly bumpy surface, full and light to the touch, with a slight bounce and a surprising degree of stretch.
